Vassallo Builders was entrusted with structural alteration works and external works as part of the development of the Haileybury School campus in Mtarfa, located within the former Royal Naval Hospital complex. The project involved carrying out structural interventions to adapt the existing historic buildings to their new educational use, together with external works to support access, functionality, and integration of the campus within its surroundings. Given the heritage context of the site, the works required careful planning, controlled execution, and close coordination to ensure structural integrity and sensitivity to the existing fabric. This project reflects Vassallo Builders’ experience in delivering complex structural and external works within heritage and institutional settings, supporting the transformation of significant historic sites into modern educational facilities.

Vassallo Builders was entrusted with the turnkey conversion of Dar Sant’ Anna, involving the comprehensive adaptation of an existing historic building into a residential care home for persons with disabilities, operated by HILA Homes. The scope of works included structural alterations, the installation of building services, and the execution of internal finishes, delivered as a fully integrated turnkey solution. The conversion enabled the building to provide residential care, person-centred therapeutic support, and community-based services within a safe, accessible, and homely environment designed to promote inclusion, dignity, and active participation in the community. This project demonstrates Vassallo Builders’ capability in delivering complex turnkey conversions for specialised care environments, requiring careful integration of structure, services, and finishes within an existing building fabric.

Vassallo Builders was entrusted with the turnkey fit-out of the new Malta Football Association (MFA) training facility at Ta’ Qali.

The works involved the complete internal fit-out of the facility, providing functional and well-finished spaces to support training, technical activity, and administrative use. Execution was carried out with careful coordination to meet the operational requirements of a modern sports and training environment.

CareMalta Group expanded its services to Gozo, through the new facility, Dar San Guzepp in Ghajnsielem. Welcoming the first residents as of March 2024, CareMalta, marked an important milestone in the history of the Group by offering our commitment to excellence in elderly care to the Gozo Community, specifically for older persons. Dar San Guzepp, set on three hectares of land, is designed to accommodate 120 residents, offering the highest standards of care and living. The facility features social spaces and green outdoor areas, fostering an environment where residents can lead active and fulfilling lives within the heart of the community.

Pjazza 1902 is the regeneration of a historic early-20th-century landmark in Pembroke, formerly known as the iconic Raffles Discotheque. The project involved the careful restoration and adaptive reuse of a long-abandoned Grade 1 building that had suffered extensive damage and decades of neglect.

Entrusted to Vassallo Builders, the works focused on preserving the building’s architectural heritage while transforming it into a contemporary, mixed-use destination. The restored complex now accommodates a range of community-oriented facilities, including dining establishments, an events space, childcare services, fitness facilities, and landscaped outdoor areas.

The project stands as a strong example of sensitive urban regeneration balancing conservation with modern functionality, and has successfully returned a historically significant structure to active use, contributing positively to the surrounding community and urban fabric.

The Mosta Oratory project involved the demolition of an existing structure and the construction of a new wing within the Oratory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus complex, a long-established religious and community landmark in Mosta.

Entrusted to Vassallo Builders, the works focused on the careful execution of demolition and reconstruction activities within a sensitive historic and active communal setting. Particular attention was given to coordination, structural integration, and site management to ensure that the new wing was safely and seamlessly incorporated into the existing complex.

The completed works have enhanced the Oratory’s facilities and functionality, supporting its continued role as an important centre for youth, religious, and community activities, while respecting the character and significance of the wider site.

Santa Rosa provides tailor-made services for children and adolescents, with a special focus on challenging behavior. The service is provided in a new, purposely converted state-of-the-art home which reflects the knowledge we have acquired and built through supporting our clients in the past five years and translating it to a space where more focus can be given to clients with specific needs and where they will feel safe, supported, and loved.

The brand-new exquisite Land’s End Boutique Hotel is located on Tigne seafront, overlooking unparalleled views of Malta’s spectacular harbour and the surrounding Mediterranean Sea. Its stylish reception provides a personalised and dedicated warm welcome to each of Land’s End visitors. Land’s End Boutique Hotel offers 75 sophisticated rooms, all with their own private terrace. This property also offers an indoor swimming pool, together with a sauna & steam room. 

Construction work on the Vassallo Business Park, another project which forms part of Vassallo Group’s extensive portfolio, has commenced.  This is a 28,000 square metre area which will be developed to cater for 25,000 square metres of large industrial rental space in the central north area of Burmarrad. 

The state-of-the-art complex is to be spread over 2 levels and will offer maximum flexibility with spaces ranging from 400 to 10,000 square metres. As an added value, the property will feature a 30-metre buffer zone between the development and the valley to enhance over 6000 square metres of landscaping. In addition, each unit will have its own mezzanine and office administration area.

Vassallo Business Park will also feature an Administration block from which the complex will be managed. The area includes space for retail outlets and parking spaces within the building.
